The clinical-scientific research conducted by Prof. Dr. Adam Ostrzenski established the new etiology of female stress urinary incontinence (SUI). This study points out that the cause of SUI is the occurrence of site-specific defects within the urethra stabilizing mechanism.
Prof. Dr. Ostrzenski’s anatomy study showed structures that are responsible for creating the urethral stabilizing mechanism.
Additionally, he developed a novel surgical intervention “urethral stabilization procedure” for female SUI without using slings, surgical meshes, or permanent sutures. This surgical treatment yields a high rate of SUI cure.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Ostrzenski mastered and pioneered a laparoscopic paravaginal reconstruction technique for selective cases in female stress urinary incontinence.
